About this variety
Haldina Tree (Adina cordifolia) is a large deciduous tree with a straight trunk, broad heart-shaped leaves, a spreading canopy, and spherical clusters of small yellow flowers.
Also known as: Haldu, Yellow teak, Hed, Hedde, Bandaru, Manjakadambu and Keli-kadam.
For cultivation, choose a warm tropical or subtropical position with ample outdoor space and bright light as the plant matures. Use a fine, clean seed-starting medium that drains well while staying evenly damp at the surface. Freshly sown containers should have drainage and good air movement. Natural seed lots vary, so emergence speed and the number of seedlings depend on pretreatment, temperature, moisture, and the grower's conditions.
Seed starting: The seeds are small. Sow them on the surface or press them very lightly into the medium rather than burying them deeply. Keep near 22–28°C under bright indirect light. Label the container with the sowing date, keep it out of standing water, and check moisture regularly. Do not discard a sound pot simply because individual seeds emerge at different times.
After emergence, Use a gentle mist or bottom watering so the seed is not displaced. Vent the cover daily, then give seedlings increasing light and transplant only after they are large enough to handle safely.
Seeds are intended for propagation. Before planting outdoors, confirm that the species and your growing method are suitable for your climate, available space, and local rules.
